Bocado Tapas Wine Bar | Worcester and Wellesley MA
Bocado Tapas Wine Bar has two locations, one in Worcester and one in Wellesley. Both locations have romantic, warm settings with mood lighting, comfortable booths, dramatic chandeliers, and custom artwork to evoke the Spanish origin of the concept. The atmosphere paired with the tapas style of dining make Bocado the perfect spot for a date night. Ranging from very simple fare to more sophisticated dishes, tapas are generally served in small portions on small plates and shared by everyone in the party. This allows guests to talk, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company over multiple courses. Bocado features over 40 different tapas, a selection of imported meats and cheeses, and paella dishes. The signature Fried Goat Cheese with honey is not to be missed! Paired with the menu of tapas is an exclusively Spanish Wine List, which was honored with a Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence in 2016! Bocado loves to showcase their spectacular wine selection with wine dinners throughout the year. Themes range from grape varietals to different regions of Spain. Once the wines are selected, chef then crafts a menu that pairs perfectly with each selection. Another reoccurring event at Bocado are the Flamenco Wine Dinners. They are only thrown quarterly and add live authentic Flamenco music and dancing to their wine dinners. Overall, if you are looking for a unique, romantic dining experience, Bocado is not to be missed.

The Citizen Wine Bar is located in the heart of downtown Worcester in a beautiful, old brick building. The vintage charm of the building is present everywhere you look: arched door ways, floor to ceiling windows, rich wood work, and brick walls lit by candle light. The focus of The Citizen’s menu is cheese, chocolate, and entrees featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. The Chef’s Charcuterie Board is legendary, over flowing with a vast selection of cheese, house made charcuterie, fresh fruit, numerous accompaniments, and a warm baguette. It pairs perfectly with The Citizen’s incredible drink program featuring both cocktails and wine. Our wine list offers selections from across the world and was awarded a Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence in 2017. Similar to Bocado, The Citizen hosts monthly wine dinners to highlight a selection of their favorite wines. The themes range from Dueling Hemispheres, Earthquake Vintage, to a Harvest Dinner.
